Plumbing Services Dublin

This page brings together all our plumbing services in Dublin and in the Co. Kildare towns of Celbridge, Leixlip and Maynooth. They range from a midnight burst pipe to a planned tap upgrade on a Tuesday morning. Each service below has its own page with more detail, hourly rates and practical tips.

We look after houses, flats, rental properties, apartment blocks, pubs, restaurants, hotels, offices and industrial units. Some jobs can't wait, so our phone stays on day and night. Others are better booked ahead, which is usually cheaper and lets us bring exactly the right parts.

Not sure which service you need? Simply describe the problem when you call, and we'll point you in the right direction.

Plumbing services in Dublin for homes and businesses

Emergency or Planned: Choosing the Right Plumbing Service in Dublin

The first question is simple: can the problem wait?

Call us now if water is escaping and you can't stop it. The same applies to a burst pipe, an overflowing cistern or a home with no water at all.

Book ahead for a dripping tap, a slow-filling cistern or a noisy pump. Ageing heaters and dirty water tanks also fall into this group. Planned visits during office hours cost less than evening, night or weekend call-outs. They also give us time to order a specific tap, shower or pump model in advance.

If in doubt, ring and describe what you see. We'll tell you honestly whether it needs someone tonight or can wait for a cheaper daytime slot.

Many emergencies start as small faults. So if you notice a weeping valve or a damp patch under the sink, booking a planned visit now is the cheapest way to deal with it.

24/7 Emergency Call-Outs

When something fails outside office hours, our emergency line answers every call, including weekends and bank holidays. Typical night-time jobs include split pipes, failed flexible hoses, overflowing toilets, leaking water heaters and pumps that have stopped.

First, we help you isolate the water over the phone. Next, you get our hourly rate as a message on WhatsApp, by SMS or by email. Once you say yes, we head straight to you with a realistic arrival time.

Out-of-hours visits focus on making the property safe and getting water back where possible. If a full replacement needs a part we don't carry, we can usually return on the next working day to finish the job at the standard rate.

Pipe, Valve and Leak Repairs

Our pipe work covers copper, plastic and multilayer systems, plus the joints, stopcocks, isolation valves and flexible connectors that link them. Each material uses different fittings, so we match the repair to what is already installed rather than forcing an unsuitable connection.

Some leaks are obvious. Others only appear when a particular tap, toilet or appliance runs. For that reason, it helps to tell us exactly when the water shows up.

Multilayer pipe, common in newer apartments, needs its own press or compression fittings, so we carry both. Besides repairs, we replace corroded sections, reroute pipework during kitchen or bathroom changes and fit new isolation valves where older properties have none.

These plumbing services are available across Dublin for both urgent and planned work. See our burst and leaking pipe repairs page for more.

Plumbing Services for Dublin Homes and Landlords

Most of our work takes place in houses and flats. Common domestic jobs include dripping taps, running toilets, leaking pipes, faulty immersion heaters, failed electric showers and tired booster pumps.

Landlords and letting agents often need a quick fix between tenancies or after a tenant reports a leak. We deal with you directly, arrange access with the tenant and confirm the work afterwards.

Property management companies can call us for shared risers, plant rooms, communal pumps and water tanks. We also handle faults inside individual apartments.

Preventive work also makes sense in rented homes. Replacing perished flexi hoses and seized valves before they fail is far cheaper than repairing a flooded ceiling later.

Commercial and Industrial Plumbing Services in Dublin

Businesses can't afford to close because of a leak. That's why our commercial work extends to hotels and B&Bs, restaurants and cafés, pubs and bars, forecourt shops at petrol stations, retail units, offices and leisure centres.

On the industrial side, we work in factories, warehouses, logistics units and workshops. Staff toilets, welfare facilities, water supply and pumps all need to keep running, so we plan around shift patterns wherever possible.

Before a visit, let us know opening hours, parking, the location of the affected area and who can give us access. Our van fits under most car park height barriers. Business accounts may settle by bank transfer, card or cash.

Tap Repair and New Tap Fitting

Kitchen mixers, bathroom basin taps, bath fillers, single-lever monobloc taps, traditional pillars and heavy-duty commercial taps all fall within our work. Dripping spouts, stiff handles, worn cartridges and loose bodies are the usual complaints.

Often, we can bring an existing tap back to life with a new cartridge or washer. Where the body itself is worn, a new tap makes better sense. You can choose one yourself, or we can supply it for you.

Tap work is one of our most requested jobs. Since leaks under the sink often come from the flexi hoses rather than the tap, we check those at the same time. For planned tap work, a photo of the tap and the pipework underneath helps us arrive with the right parts.

Details are on the tap repairs and replacement page.

Toilet Repairs and Replacement

Toilets fail in a handful of predictable ways. The cistern keeps filling, the flush stops working, water appears around the pan or the whole unit rocks. Each symptom points to a different part, so we diagnose before we order anything.

Fill valves, flush valves, seals and pan connectors are standard stock in the van, so toilet repairs are among the quickest jobs we do. We also clear blockages in the pan and nearby pipework.

When a toilet is cracked, discoloured or too old for spares, we replace it. Before fitting, we check the water connection, pan outlet, floor fixings and space, so the new unit fits properly first time.

See our toilet repairs and replacement page.

Immersion Heaters, Undersink Units and Showers

We fit and swap immersion units as well as undersink and oversink water heaters. For a like-for-like swap, a photo of the rating label and the pipework around the heater speeds things up. Hot water problems account for a steady share of our work, particularly in winter.

For electric showers, we replace existing units on a suitable supply. The new model needs to match the water feed and the kW rating of the circuit. Where a job calls for new wiring, a qualified electrician must carry out that part.

First-time shower installations fall outside our work, since they need a new circuit. Boilers are also excluded, as only a Registered Gas Installer may work on gas.

Both services have their own pages: water heaters and electric shower swaps.

Booster, Well, Sewage and Submersible Pumps

Pumps keep water moving in top-floor flats and houses with low mains pressure. Rural homes on wells and basements below the sewer line depend on them too.

Warning signs include weak pressure, constant cycling, rattling, overheating and water pooling around the unit. Even so, a new pump is not always the fix. Valves, strainers, controls and hidden leaks can all cause similar symptoms, so we check the whole setup first.

When a new pump is the answer, we size it for the duty it performs, taking pressure, flow and pipe connections into account.

Our pump services cover homes, apartment blocks and commercial buildings. See our pump services page for details.

Cold Water Storage Tank Cleaning

Attic tanks collect sediment, rust and debris over the years, especially where the lid is missing or cracked. Cleaning them is planned work, which we schedule at a time that suits you. Landlords often add it to their regular maintenance, alongside a check of valves and hoses.

The process covers draining, cleaning the internal surfaces and disinfecting where appropriate. While the tank is empty, we also check the lid, float valve and visible connections.

Good access matters. The loft hatch needs to be reachable, with boards or a safe floor around the tank.

More on our storage water tank cleaning page.

Saniflo, Waste Pipes and Soil Pipes

New Saniflo installations and blocked Saniflo units are both part of our work. Internal motor and circuit-board faults are a different matter: a new unit tends to be the more dependable choice there, so we don't strip them down.

Waste pipes from sinks, basins, baths, showers and appliances often leak at the trap or at a loose joint. We repair and replace these, along with accessible soil pipe sections, and we run new waste pipework when you move a fixture.

We also unblock toilets, sinks, showers and urinals at fixture level. Grease, hair and wipes cause most of these blockages, so a quick word about what goes down the sink can prevent the next one.

Kitchens in restaurants and cafés see the most grease, which is why regular trap cleaning is one of the jobs food businesses ask us about most.

Plumbing Services FAQs

Booking and Prices

Is planned work cheaper than an emergency call-out?

Yes. Weekday office hours carry our lowest rate. Evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays cost more, so it pays to book non-urgent jobs in advance.

Do I get a price before you start?

Always. You receive our hourly rate as a written message before we leave, and nothing happens until you agree to it.

How do I pay?

Homes and landlords pay on completion by cash, card or payment link. For firms, a bank transfer works too.

Scope of Work

Do you supply taps, toilets and heaters?

Yes. We can supply most fittings on request, or we can fit one you have already bought.

Do you work on boilers?

No. Gas and oil boilers are outside our work. For those, please contact a Registered Gas Installer or an oil boiler technician.

Will you document the job for insurance?

Certainly. Ask us, and you'll receive an emailed summary of the cause, our findings and the repair we completed.

How to Book Planned Plumbing Work

  1. Send a photo of the tap, toilet, heater, shower or pump, plus the label if there is one.
  2. Add a few details, such as your Eircode, the property type and any access notes.
  3. Get our hourly rate, and an estimate where possible, as a message on WhatsApp, SMS or email.
  4. Pick a time that suits you, ideally during office hours for the best rate.
  5. Pay on completion by cash, card or payment link, or by bank transfer for business accounts.

Because we see the fitting in advance, we can bring the correct parts and usually finish in a single visit. It is the simplest way to book work without paying out-of-hours rates. We're also fully insured, and we leave the work area clean.
