About Emergency Plumber Service

Emergency Plumber Service is a Dublin plumbing business run by Martin, a hands-on plumber. He has more than 15 years of experience in homes, shops, offices and industrial buildings. We answer the phone day and night, every day of the year. So a burst pipe at 3am or a flooded bathroom at Christmas still gets a real plumber on the way.

There is no call centre and no middleman. When you ring, you speak to the person who will come out, look at the problem and fix it.

This page explains who we are, where we work and how we charge. It also shows what to expect from a plumber who prefers straight answers.

The Plumber Behind the Business

Martin started out on the tools well over 15 years ago. He has spent his career fixing water systems of every age, from Victorian lead mains to modern pressurised systems.

Because the same person takes the call and does the job, nothing gets lost between booking and arrival. You describe the fault once, and the plumber who turns up already knows what to expect.

That personal approach is also why so many customers save the number and ring again years later.

Experience You Can Rely On

Fifteen years of call-outs teach you how water behaves in a building. You learn where it hides, which fittings give up first and how to stop damage spreading.

As a result, we find most faults quickly. We usually complete the repair on that first call-out with stock from the van.

Where something is worth repairing, we repair it. Where replacement makes more sense, we explain why and let you decide.

Plumbing Work We Cover

We concentrate on plumbing and do it thoroughly. Typical work includes:

Homes, Businesses and Industry

Our customers include homeowners, tenants, landlords, letting agents, apartment owners and owners’ management companies. We also work for restaurants, cafés, coffee shops, pubs, bars, hotels, guesthouses and B&Bs. Shops, offices, gyms, schools, clinics, care homes and a petrol station or two call us too.

For commercial clients, we act as their commercial plumber, working around trading hours where possible. For factories, warehouses and plant rooms, we act as an industrial plumber and follow site safety and permit rules.

Domestic or residential, small or large, every job gets the same care.

Where Our Emergency Plumber Service Works

Our home ground is south Dublin, from Tallaght to Dún Laoghaire and the rest of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. Other parts of Co. Kildare are covered by arrangement, and we regularly work in Leixlip, Maynooth and Celbridge. We also cover the north of Co. Wicklow, and further south by arrangement.

North Dublin, including Dublin Airport, is by arrangement, depending on traffic and availability. We will always tell you honestly when we can realistically arrive.

You will find local pages under Emergency Plumber Dublin.

Open 24/7, Every Bank Holiday Included

Leaks do not keep office hours, and neither do we. Our emergency plumber service runs around the clock, nights and weekends included.

We also work every Irish public holiday: New Year’s Day, St Brigid’s Day, St Patrick’s Day and Easter Monday. The May, June, August and October bank holidays are included, as are Christmas Day and St Stephen’s Day. Halloween, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are covered too.

Even so, an evening or overnight call-out is not always necessary. If you can safely switch the water off, we may suggest a morning visit instead, which costs you less.

See 24/7 emergency plumber for how out-of-hours visits work.

How We Charge for Plumbing Work

We work on an hourly rate, and you receive that rate in writing before we travel. Rates for households include VAT; businesses receive a VAT invoice.

Booking inside weekday office hours keeps the cost lowest. Higher rates apply after hours, through the night, at the weekend and over bank holidays. They also apply to addresses further from our core area.

A photo sometimes lets us give an estimate, but it is a guide only. Seized or corroded fittings take longer, and time on site includes parking and reaching the leak.

Domestic customers pay by cash, card or payment link when the job is done. Business customers can also pay by bank transfer. Full rates are on our Prices page.

Fully Insured

Every job we do is fully insured, with public liability, products liability and employers’ liability cover. Homeowners, landlords and facilities managers can therefore book with confidence. We also send a copy of our insurance certificate on request.

When the work is done, we clean up, dry the floor and explain what failed in plain words. Our workmanship also carries a 12-month guarantee.

If you are making an insurance claim, ask for a written report. We will include pictures of the fault and the finished work.

What Emergency Plumber Service Leaves to Others

We are not Registered Gas Installers. Gas boilers and gas cookers need an RGI. We will tell you so rather than attempt work outside our trade.

With Saniflo units, we install new macerators and clear jammed ones, but we do not repair their motors.

Being clear about limits is part of doing the job properly.

Blocked Drains? Try Our Sister Business

For drain unblocking, CCTV surveys and drain repairs, turn to our sister business, drainageservice.ie.

Keeping the two apart lets this site focus on plumbing emergencies, while drainage customers find specialist help in one place.

If you are unsure which service you need, ring the same number and we will point you the right way.

Straight Answers and Plain Language

Before Emergency Plumber Service starts any work, you know our hourly charge. You also get a realistic idea of the likely duration.

During the visit, we show you the fault and the options. Afterwards, landlords and agents receive photos and a short summary, and businesses get a job sheet.

General questions about booking and payment have answers on our FAQ page.
